The independent boutique hospitality industry’s top creative minds attended the digital event last month to participate and authentically support the boutique sector.

The 2021 virtual BLLA Conference wrapped up on Tuesday, October 26th. As travel begins to rise once more, the themes at this year’s event will remain a constant source of inspiration. However, the vast array of impactful ideas and solutions will continue to motivate leaders in hospitality for a long time.

Leaders in hospitality work diligently to welcome travelers once more. The 2021 Boutique Lifestyle Leadership Conference theme was “The Awakening” and invited brilliant minds in hospitality to consider the industry’s trending and challenging topics. The themes discussed included wellness, diversity and inclusivity, sustainability, gentrification, talent acquisition, and privacy. BLLA even hopped into the NFT world with the speaker, “King of Midtown,” the founder of the Crypt Gallery, where he shared his thoughts on how the crypto and hospitality world intersect. Founder and CEO Frances Kiradjian and COO Ariela Kiradjian, the mother-daughter Duo of Boutique, continue to lead the boutique edge of the hospitality industry, gracefully facilitating intersectional spaces that motivate the community to learn from global leaders and share meaningful ideas.

Ariela Kiradjian created a space to introduce the conference that allowed participants and listeners to hold meaningful and transcendent conversations. She established the gathering upon the foundation that BLLA “liberates what it means to be a hotelier [by positioning] the boutique sector of hospitality into the future.”

“The educational components from the 130+ speakers are simply outstanding. The valuable content presents such a wide variety of very relevant subject matter,” stated Frances Kiradjian. “Students from various universities are now taking advantage of the more than 60 sessions available to play on their desktops via a special program created by BLLA.” Professors and students individually can email info@blla.org for more information. Anyone can apply to have access at this link to the entire program.

What sets BLLA apart from so many other events held in the luxury hospitality industry is its concern for accountability and commitment to expanding the boutique lifestyle. Frances encouraged the conference attendees to keep the insights real, stating, “wellness and sustainability are important, but need to stop being a PR campaign.” Ariela added, “BLLA is your home if you’re a daring thinker.” By initiating the conference’s tone with this strong foundation, these two leaders have paved the way for bettering the industry.
