Founder & Chairman of Rockhouse Hotel
Paul Salmon is chairman of the award-winning Rockhouse Hotel and its sister property Skylark Negril Beach Resort, two boutique hotels in Negril, Jamaica. As a native of Melbourne, Australia, Paul moved to New York City in 1991 to work in the finance industry, a few years later transitioning into hospitality. With over 25 years of experience, Paul is a thought leader in responsible hospitality and sustainable tourism and is also a co-founder and chairman of the Rockhouse Foundation – the charitable arm of Rockhouse and Skylark – which has raised over $6 million USD to help transform Jamaica’s childhood education system. He is the managing partner at Miss Lily’s, the beloved Caribbean restaurant with two locations in New York and outposts in Dubai and Negril, as well as a founding & operating partner of Joe’s Pub, one of New York’s most renowned live music and performance venues and an operating partner at The Library restaurant, both located at the Joseph Papp Public Theater. He serves as a board member for City & Country School located in the West Village where all three of his children have attended. Paul currently lives in New York City with his family and travels back and forth to Negril heading all hotel and restaurant operations.
