With over 30 years of culinary experience, Chef Ned will lead the luxury hotel’s epicurean journey to oversee the property’s acclaimed dining destinations.

Hotel Emma at Pearl, the only AAA Five Diamond hotel in Texas, welcomes Executive Chef Ned Elliott to lead the San Antonio hotel’s rich epicurean programs across its esteemed dining destinations: Supper, Sternewirth, Larder, curated banquets, as well as in-room and poolside dining.

“I am incredibly honored to be a part of the Hotel Emma team and have the opportunity to
continue elevating the San Antonio culinary experience,” says Executive Chef Ned Elliott. “I
am thrilled to bring my expertise I’ve mastered over the years and play an integral role in the
property’s future growth.”

Chef Ned’s extensive history in the hospitality industry all over the United States has provided him with a deep understanding of the luxury dining experience. Most recently, he served as Executive Culinary Director at Proper Hospitality, overseeing 16 restaurants within the brand’s portfolio. Within this role, he perfected concepts ranging from Mediterranean to Steakhouse, along with many others in between. He exhibited similar creative skills when he and his team developed the menu for and opened four new restaurants within the RPM group, started by celebrity couple Bill and Giuliana Rancic, doubling the reach of the brand.

Prior to his experience at Proper Hospitality and RPM restaurants, Chef Ned successfully
opened his own eatery in Austin, Texas called Foreign & Domestic. The restaurant quickly
gained popularity and was featured on both Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and Bizarre Foods
with Andrew Zimmern. Chef Ned built the restaurant for almost ten years before moving on
to continue furthering his culinary expertise. His impressive experience reaches New York
City as Chef de Partie at Tabla, Danny Meyer and Floyd Cardoz’s Indian-inspired restaurant,
as well as at the three Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse at The Essex House hotel.

Chef Ned will work alongside Hotel Emma’s remarkable culinary team, including the
James-Beard nominated Pastry Chef Sofia Tejeda, to continue building upon the property’s
impact as the flagship of Pearl’s gastronomic community, with a nod to the hotel’s history as
a former 19th century brewery. With his wealth of knowledge and past roles at some of the
country’s top hotels and restaurants, Chef Ned will skillfully tie the rich culture of San
Antonio, known as UNESCO City of Gastronomy, into spectacular cuisine across the hotel’s
on-site dining venues to deliver exceptional epicurean experiences for guests and locals
alike.
