Christie Toal

Christie Toal, originally from Tucson, Arizona, built a corporate career at a major financial institution that took her around the world, where she was inspired by how accommodations could uniquely bridge luxury, independence, and community. These experiences shaped her vision for her own hospitality venture.

After discovering McMinnville's connected community of winemakers, chefs, and local businesses, she purchased a 1914 Craftsman, minutes from McMinnville's famous downtown, and began a two-year renovation project, opening the compass in October 2024. the compass is the first project of Advintures Properties, a venture with a vision to create unique and memorable experiences through the repurposing historic buildings as luxuriously approachable accommodations that support local economies, in wine focused areas.

Christie actively partners with local wineries and small businesses to curate and promote events that showcase the area's offerings while supporting community causes.
