Mike French

Mike French is co-founder of Life & Times, the Pioneertown, California design and development company, where his role is described as "Vision, brand, and the long game." He and his brother Matt first visited Pioneertown over a decade ago, fell for the area, and eventually bought and restored the historic 1946 Pioneertown Motel, moving there from L.A. in 2014 to live on its four-block Mane Street. He also favors DJing and setting the music/lighting vibe for Life & Times' properties, curates playlists and helps run the bar program at the Red Dog Saloon, is a partner in The Copper Room in Yucca Valley, and writes editorials for the Life & Times-produced Pioneertown Gazette. Beyond the High Desert, he and Matt also restored the historic Captain Whidbey resort on Whidbey Island, WA.
